Oneness Tour 2026: Santana Turns Hard Rock Live into a Musical Journey
Even before the first note was played, you could feel it—this was going to be a special night. Before the lights, before the stage, even before getting inside, the energy was already there. Just trying to find parking said it all: the place was packed. A wave of fans kept arriving, many with that unmistakable look—the kind you see in people who truly understand what it means to make a guitar sing. It was Saturday, April 11, 2026, and Carlos Santana brought his Oneness Tour 2026 to the Hard Rock Live. A tour that doesn’t just celebrate his legacy, but brings it back to life with the same spirit that made him unforgettable at Woodstock. From the very beginning, it was clear—this wasn’t just a concert, it was an experience.
The band joining Santana on this tour is simply top level. Benny Rietveld on bass brings a smooth and solid foundation, with years of experience behind him. On percussion, Karl Perazzo and Paoli Mejías create that signature Santana groove—organic, hypnotic, and deeply rooted in Latin rhythms. Vocals by Andy Vargas and Ray Greene lift each song with power and soul, while Tommy Anthony adds versatility on guitar and backing vocals. David K. Mathews fills the space with rich textures on keys. And of course, Cindy Blackman Santana… we’ll talk more about her in a moment, because she truly deserves it.

The Oneness Tour 2026 feels like a powerful return to North American stages. Santana, a living legend of rock and Latin fusion, delivered a nearly two-hour show full of energy, soul, and pure musicianship. Every riff, every sustained note, every interaction between instruments felt natural, almost spiritual. After more than 50 years, his music doesn’t just hold up—it keeps growing.
When Carlos Santana walked on stage holding his iconic gold PRS guitar—his signature model—the crowd exploded. At 78 years old, his sound is still flawless. His use of legato and bending creates that warm, expressive tone that defines him. Every note seemed to breathe, expanding in the air and connecting directly with the audience. It’s not just technique… It’s feeling.

And now, a well-deserved moment for the incredible Cindy Blackman Santana. For me, as a woman and a drummer, this was one of the moments I was most excited about—and she absolutely delivered. Married to Santana since 2010, Cindy is pure power, precision, and passion. She stood out throughout the entire show, especially during that hypnotic bass jam in the middle of the show. But near the end, she completely took over the moment with an outstanding drum solo—powerful, musical, and perfectly executed—that left the audience speechless. One of those moments you don’t forget.
The show kicked off with a bang: “Soul Sacrifice.” From there, it never slowed down. Classics like Evil Ways, Black Magic Woman / Gypsy Queen, and Oye Como Va had the entire venue moving, while later hits like Maria Maria, Europa, Hold On, The Game of Love, and Corazón Espinado connected with fans of all ages. Santana doesn’t just play his music—he reshapes it live. And yes, the night closed in style: Cindy Blackman’s drum solo, followed by the always powerful Smooth, bringing the crowd to its peak.
Once again, the Hard Rock Live proves why it’s one of South Florida’s top live music venues. A great artist, a great night, and a crowd fully connected to the music. And it doesn’t stop here—the lineup of upcoming shows is strong, so it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on what’s coming next.
