Diana in Motion — The 2026 U.S. Tour of a Timeless Diva

On Thursday, March 19, the stage at Hard Rock Live became a celebration of legacy, elegance, and enduring artistry. Diana Ross didn’t just perform a concert—she delivered an emotional journey through decades of musical history.

The show opened with an audiovisual overture tracing her life, from her early beginnings to her latest album, Thank You, released on November 5, 2021. As the video concluded, Diana made a flawless entrance, performing a slightly shortened version of I’m Coming Out, dressed in a radiant yellow gown that immediately lit up the room. Without pause, she transitioned into a medley of her The Supremes era, revisiting timeless hits like Baby Love, You Can’t Hurry Love, Come See About Me, and Stop! In the Name of Love. It was a confident, no-frills opening—reminding everyone exactly why this catalog still matters.

The second portion of the show shifted into a more intimate and emotional tone. Diana connected deeply with the audience through performances of Touch Me in the Morning, It’s My House, and Chain Reaction. She also paid a refined tribute to Billie Holiday with Don’t Explain. Midway through, she exited the stage and returned in a striking red gown, signaling a shift in energy—commanding, poised, and fully in control.

The momentum continued with essential anthems like Upside Down and The Boss, lifting the audience once again. Before closing this segment, she revisited her most recent work, performing Tomorrow, seamlessly bridging past and present.

The third act brought a meaningful surprise: the introduction of her daughter, Rhonda Ross Kendrick. In a heartfelt moment, Rhonda spoke about using music as a tool to inspire and help people reconnect with their inner voice. Together, they performed Count on Me, a deeply uplifting piece. Diana then stepped aside in a symbolic passing of the torch, allowing Rhonda to take the spotlight with Driving Me Away, Back to Love, and Maybe I’ll Fly.

Diana’s return was nothing short of majestic. Dressed in silver, she proved that at 81, not only does her iconic voice remain intact, but her physical presence and stage command are just as compelling. The closing sequence was a masterclass in performance: Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You’re Going To) drew a powerful emotional response, followed by Why Do Fools Fall in Love, the classic by Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers that she has made her own over the years.

The climax arrived with Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, igniting a full standing ovation. The audience, already on its feet, erupted as Diana closed the night with I Will Survive, the anthem by Gloria Gaynor that turned the venue into a full celebration.

Hard Rock Live once again proved why South Florida continues to host world-class performances—especially when a timeless icon like Diana Ross takes the stage.
