Hollywood, Fl – When Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening returns to  the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, the room buzzes long before the lights dim. A multigenerational audience packs the venue—older diehards clutching memories of the 1970s, younger fans eager to experience the closest modern interpretation of Led Zeppelin’s thunder, and families passing the music down like a sacred artifact. The crowd’s energy is warm, anticipatory, almost reverent, as if everyone collectively understands that this is not merely a tribute show, but a living, breathing preservation of one of rock’s greatest legacies.

The JBLZE project began as “Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience,” launched in 2010 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of John Bonham’s passing. Initially a deeply personal tribute filled with archival footage, family stories, and emotional performances, the show evolved into “Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening” in 2018, shifting the focus to musicianship and authenticity.

Year by year, Bonham has refined the lineup, deepened the arrangements, and expanded the show into a powerhouse celebration of Led Zeppelin’s catalog, approaching the material with equal parts precision and heart. On this night, they are celebrating Physical Graffiti, playing the album in it’s entirety, although Jason did make it a point that they would not play it in order, as folks would know when to walk out to get a beer. He wanted to keep everyone in suspense.

Tonight, the current touring band arrives razor-sharp and unified. The current lineup includes Jason Bonham (Drums), James Dylan (Lead Vocals), Dorian Heartsong (Bass / Backing Vocals), Alex Howland (Keyboards / Guitar / Backing Vocals) and Jimmy Sakurai (Guitar). The set is tight and the accuracy commendable. Jimmy Sakurai channels his inner Jimmy Page while James Dylan’s vocals pays homage to Robert Plant, in haunting similarity.

When the opening riff of “Wanton Song” tears through the sound system, the audience erupts instantly. Bonham’s drumming is powerful and urgent, echoing his father’s signature weight while maintaining his own identity—slightly more modern, slightly more aggressive, but always honoring the original pulse. James Dylan commands the stage with poise, hitting the high-wire vocal lines with surprising ease, while Jimmy Sakurai’s guitar tone feels ripped from the analog warmth of the 1970s, each bend, slide, and wail crafted with obsessive attention.

Throughout the night, the crowd is enamored the entire time. They sing, they air-drum, they sway in slow motion during the deeper cuts, and explode as the band drops into the giants of the Zeppelin catalog, and more specifically, the masterpiece that is Physical Graffiti. Jason accentuates the show by including stories of his dad and one funny anecdote regarding an opportunity he had to perform with Phil Collins and play “In the Air Tonight“.

Jason shares that Phil specifically tells him that he was not to play the infamous drum fill that is the signature moment in the song, that he was only to keep time. Jason laughingly states that as the moment approaches, he plays the fill anyway. Phil comes at him after and calls him out. Jason’s reply to Phil is that this is a moment that will most likely never happen again and he had to do it. Phil agrees and the rest is history.

As the night progresses, the songs remaining become more and more predictable. There is a mid show acoustic set that brings Jason down from the drum riser as the band performs “Bron-Yr-Aur”. The crowd is really into the show as the band tears into “Trampled Under Foot” and then launces into “Kashmir“, sending the crowd to their feet. The evening closes with a triumphant, full-throttle “Whole Lotta Love,” followed by “Rock and Roll” complete with extended jam, psychedelic textures, and a crowd that roars until the final chord fades.
